My Truths #12 (80/20 rule)

Follow the 80/20 rule. If you’re eating “clean” 80% of the time you’re doing great. I look at the 80/20 rule on a daily basis and if I’ve done well throughout the day with a few exceptions I’m happy. Other people approach it on a weekly basis and try to stay rigid 6 days of the week with 1 “cheat” day per week of all out debauchery. These people are often trying to achieve “ketosis” (Google it) and even a few small “cheats” per day will foil their efforts. I’m not saying there’s a better way to follow the 80/20 rule… I’m just saying that trying to be perfect all the time is setting yourself up for failure and can lead to stress. Stress is bad!
